Radio-Frequency Micro­needling is a treatment that stimu­lates the body’s healing processes by using tiny needles to penetrate the upper layers of the skin. Radio-frequency energy is trans­mitted into the skin via the needles, thereby producing tiny injuries that stimulate the healing process and promote the formation of certain growth factors. This process encou­rages the production of collagen and elastin, which promote a fresh and youthful appearance.

Radio-Frequency Micro­needling has a variety of appli­ca­tions. It can remove wrinkles and improve enlarged pores, pigment disorders, scars and stretch marks—with repeated treatment, even remove them. It has the additional benefit of being appli­cable to any area of the body. Radio-Frequency Micro­needling also allows treatment of sensitive areas of the body such as the eyelids, the lower face (mouth area), the neck, and the décolleté, which can be difficult to treat with other methods.

Furthermore, the method is suitable for the treatment of the upper arms and the buttocks.

After thoroughly cleansing the skin, a pain-relieving ointment is applied if desired.

The treating therapist places the RF device on the skin and begins the treatment. The use of the needles with a puncture depth of 0.5 mm stimu­lates the body's own collagen production and stimu­lates the regene­ration of the skin.

The duration of the treatment varies depending on the size of the treatment area. A mask is applied after the treatment. The micro­scopic wounds close within a few hours.

Radio-Frequency Micro­needling can be effec­tively combined with other treat­ments such as fillers, plasma facial treatment, or mesotherapy.

Two to three treat­ments are advisable and are carried out at intervals of at least 3 to 4 weeks. The results can be visible for up to three years, and in the case of scars, the results can be permanent. A concrete result from the treatment cannot be guaranteed. However, repeated treatment at the recom­mended intervals increases the likelihood of success.
