Laser hair removal with CLARITY II™ uses light energy that is absorbed by the hair’s natural pigment. In the follicle, the root of the hair within the skin, this energy is converted into heat. In this way, hair growth can be reduced over the long term. The system combines two wavelengths, and the appropriate one is selected according to your skin type, skin tone and hair structure.
The treatment is an option for women and men who would like to reduce unwanted hair on the face or body. It can be used on different skin types, including darker skin. During the consultation, we analyse your skin and hair type, select the appropriate wavelength and discuss how many sessions are likely to be needed for the area concerned.
Treatment Areas
CLARITY II™ can be used on almost all areas of the body, for women and men alike.
Face
On the face, treatment can cover the upper lip and chin or the entire face, including the cheeks. The neckline can be added as a separate area.
Upper Body
On the upper body, treatment covers the underarms, chest and abdomen, as well as the back and shoulders. The laser settings are adjusted to the specific area of skin.
Arms and Hands
On the arms, the upper arms and forearms are possible treatment areas, as are the hands. Each of these areas can be treated individually.
Legs
On the legs, treatment can include the thighs, lower legs and feet. The thighs and lower legs can also be treated together.
Bikini Area
In the bikini area, treatment can cover the classic bikini line or, if you prefer, the entire intimate area.
How does laser hair removal work?
CLARITY II™ uses targeted light energy, which is absorbed by melanin, the natural pigment in the hair, and converted into heat. This allows the hair follicle to be treated selectively while the surrounding tissue is largely protected. After several sessions, hair generally grows back less densely and becomes finer.
The system combines two laser wavelengths: 755 nm Alexandrite and 1064 nm Nd:YAG. The 755 nm wavelength is particularly suitable for finer hair and lighter skin types, provided the hair contains enough pigment. The 1064 nm wavelength is used for darker skin types. An integrated cooling system provides additional comfort during treatment.
Hairs are in different phases of growth, and each session reaches only some of the hair roots. Several sessions are therefore needed, with intervals adapted to the body area and hair growth.

What does the treatment involve?
Consultation and Analysis
We start by discussing your goals and assessing your skin type, hair type and the area you would like treated. On this basis, we select the appropriate wavelength and draw up your treatment plan.
Preparation
At the clinic, the area is cleansed and shaved if necessary. You wear protective eyewear throughout the treatment. You receive instructions in advance on how to prepare at home, including shaving and avoiding epilation.
Laser Treatment
The laser handpiece is placed directly on the skin and delivers energy precisely to the hair follicles, while the integrated cooling system cools the skin. How long the session takes depends on the size of the area.
Aftercare
Immediately afterwards, the skin may look slightly red or feel warm, and these reactions usually settle quickly. You receive recommendations on skincare and sun protection.
Treatment Series
Because not all hairs grow at the same time, further sessions follow. The intervals are tailored to the treated area and the way your hair grows, and regrowth can decrease further with each session.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the treatment work and how long does it take?
Before treatment, the skin is prepared and the CLARITY II™ laser is adjusted to your skin and hair type. The laser then delivers energy precisely to the hair follicles, supported by integrated cooling. Depending on the size of the area, a session takes around 15 to 60 minutes.
Is the treatment painful, and is anaesthesia used?
The treatment is generally well tolerated and usually felt to cause little pain, although warmth or mild pinching may occur. Thanks to intensive cooling, most people do not need anaesthesia.
What risks and side effects are possible?
Temporary redness, a feeling of warmth or mild swelling may occur after treatment. In rare cases, pigmentation changes can develop, particularly in more pigmented or recently tanned skin. During the session, suitable protective eyewear shields your eyes from the laser light. We discuss the risks relevant to you before your first session.
What should I consider before the treatment?
The area should be shaved before your appointment. Please avoid epilation, waxing or plucking for at least three weeks beforehand so that the hair root remains intact for the laser. The treatment can generally be carried out all year round, provided you avoid strong UV radiation and intense sun before and after your appointment.
What should I consider after the treatment?
You can care for your skin as usual afterwards. Intensive exfoliation, strong active ingredients and vigorous rubbing should be avoided for a short time, as should direct sun and tanning beds. Apply suitable sun protection every day.
How long does recovery take after the treatment?
A longer recovery period is not normally needed after treatment with CLARITY II™. Mild redness or a feeling of warmth may occur temporarily and typically settles within a few hours. You can usually continue with your day as normal.

When do results become visible?
Initial changes may become visible after the first session. The treated hairs gradually fall out, while other hairs continue to grow according to their natural cycle. A clear, long-term reduction therefore develops over the course of several sessions.
How long do the results last?
After a complete treatment series, many patients experience a reduction in hair growth that lasts for a long time. Individual hairs may regrow over time, particularly during hormonal changes. How pronounced the effect is depends on factors including skin type, hair colour, hair thickness and your individual hair growth cycle.
How many sessions are usually needed?
Because each session reaches only some of the hair roots, several treatments are needed, often six to eight. Finer hair or certain skin types may require additional sessions. We set the intervals in your treatment plan to suit the area treated and the way your hair grows.
