Dermogen reads the genetic conditions behind your skin: sun sensitivity, antioxidant capacity, elasticity, barrier function and predisposition towards cellulite. The results give skincare and treatment planning a precise, individual starting point.
The genetic skin analysis examines areas that describe how your skin responds to external influences: how sensitive it is to sunlight, what its antioxidant capacity is like, how elasticity and connective tissue are set up, how the skin barrier works and what predisposition there is towards cellulite. Two people with a similar daily routine can show signs of skin ageing at different speeds, because their conditions differ.
Benefits at a Glance
- Explains why your skin ages the way it does
- Reveals your genetic sun sensitivity and antioxidant capacity
- Uncovers your predisposition towards cellulite and reduced firmness
- Builds a skincare and treatment plan around your biology, not trends
The report makes those conditions visible and helps to align skincare and treatments with them. It is not a diagnosis and does not replace a dermatological examination.
Related Analyses
Areas Examined
Five areas in one report.
Light-Related Skin Ageing
The predisposition with which your skin responds to UV exposure, and what that means for sun protection and skincare.
Antioxidant Capacity
How well the skin deals with oxidative stress from environment, nutrition and physical load.
Elasticity and Connective Tissue
The conditions for collagen turnover and skin firmness.
Skin Barrier
How stable the outermost layer of skin is and how sensitively it responds to external triggers.
Cellulite
The predisposition that contributes to the development and extent of cellulite, alongside metabolism, hormones and lifestyle.
How does the genetic skin analysis work?
The bio-mechanical properties of the skin — firmness and elasticity — change with age. How quickly that happens also depends on free radicals, which form in response to UV radiation, environmental exposure and nutrition and interfere with collagen turnover.
These processes run differently in each person. Variants in the genes involved change individual sensitivity and therefore the response to external influences. The analysis determines these variants and assigns them to the five areas.
From the report come recommendations that suit your skin: how consistently sun protection is needed, which direction of skincare makes sense and which treatments can be considered in your case. Choosing a treatment remains a medical decision taken in consultation.
- Five areas covering skin structure and resilience
- Result and explanation for every area
- A basis for skincare and treatment planning
- A medical review of the report
Why the skin analysis at Aesthetics Medical?
We use your report to build skincare and treatment planning around what your skin actually needs.
Report and Treatment in One Place
We work with skin every day. The report feeds directly into planning, for example for skin quality, pigmentation or firmness.
Skincare That Suits You
Instead of a general routine, we discuss what matters for your skin and what you can leave out.
Sun Protection with a Reason
Where the report shows higher light sensitivity, a general recommendation becomes a specific one.
Clear Limits
The report explains conditions, not skin diseases. If a skin condition is suspected, a dermatological assessment is the first step.
What does the analysis involve?
Consultation
We look at your skin, discuss your goals and clarify whether the analysis will move your question forward.
Consent
You receive the information in writing and confirm it before the sample is taken.
Sample Collection
The sample is taken at the practice and sent to the laboratory.
Laboratory Analysis
The laboratory determines the gene variants and produces the report.
Review Appointment
We go through the five areas and agree on skincare and possible treatments.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the analysis work and how long does it take?
After the consultation and your consent, the sample is taken, which takes a few minutes. The laboratory produces the report, which we then go through together.
Is sample collection uncomfortable?
No. It is brief and not painful.
What risks and limits does the analysis have?
Collection carries little risk. In terms of content, the report describes conditions rather than skin diseases; skincare, sun protection, nutrition and lifestyle continue to have an effect. For skin changes that need assessment, a dermatological examination is the first step.
What should I consider before sample collection?
You receive instructions on how to prepare before the appointment. Note down which skincare products you use and which treatments you have had so far.
What happens after the analysis?
You receive the report, and together we agree how skincare and treatments fit with it.
Is there any downtime?
No. The appointment does not interrupt your day.

When is the report ready?
After 3–4 weeks; we then arrange the review appointment.
How long are the results valid?
Permanently, because your gene variants do not change. The recommendations develop along with your skin.
How many appointments are needed?
Two: the consultation with sample collection, and the review of the report.
Who is the analysis suitable for?
For people who want to target their skincare and treatments more precisely, for instance with early signs of skin ageing, sensitive skin or cellulite.
How much does the analysis cost?
The cost is quoted on request. You will receive the exact amount after your personal consultation.
