Fruit acid peels in Zurich – Effective chemical peels for clear skin
Fruit acid peels and chemical peels are among the most effective methods for the aesthetic dermatological treatment of a wide variety of skin problems. These proven procedures use active ingredients such as glycolic acid, mandelic acid, salicylic acid or trichloroacetic acid to remove the top layer of dead skin cells and regenerate the skin from within. At Aesthetics Medical in Zurich, we offer a variety of chemical peels – individually tailored to your skin type and needs.
The controlled exfoliation process removes dead skin cells, refines pores, reduces pigmentation spots and improves the overall skin structure in the long term. The treatment is ideal for blemished, large-pored skin, acne, keratinisation disorders, rosacea, scars and pigmentation disorders. After the treatment, the skin is fresh, firmer, moisturised and more receptive to valuable active ingredients.

What are fruit acid peels and chemical peels?
Fruit acid peels and chemical peels are proven dermatological methods for effective skin improvement. The principle: chemical agents remove the top layer of skin in a controlled manner, removing dead skin cells and stimulating regeneration. The result: smoother, firmer, more youthful skin.
The different types of peels:
AHA peels (alpha hydroxy acids): Based on glycolic acid, lactic acid or mandelic acid. These fruit acids act on the skin's surface and are suitable for sensitive to dry and sun-damaged skin. They improve skin texture, promote moisture balance, support collagen formation and reduce pigmentation spots.
BHA peels (beta hydroxy acids): Based on salicylic acid and act deep into the pores. They penetrate the pores, dissolve blockages and refine them sustainably. Ideal for large pores, impurities, acne and cornification disorders. The anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effect is particularly pronounced.
PHA peels (polyhydroxy acids): Consist of large molecules that do not penetrate deeply. Particularly gentle on sensitive, easily irritated skin types.
Special chemical peels:
- Ferrulac peel: For hyperpigmentation, sun damage and to improve skin texture
- Azelaic acid peel: Anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial. Ideal for acne, regulates sebum production and reduces pigmentation spots
Treatment depth: We offer superficial to medium-depth peels. The intensity is individually tailored to your skin condition based on the active ingredient, concentration and application time.

Why choose fruit acid peels at Aesthetics Medical?
Treatment procedure
1. Consultation
We analyse your skin type, skin problems and treatment goals. Together, we determine the appropriate peel (AHA, BHA, PHA) and explain the procedure, risks and realistic results.
2. Preparation & application
The area to be treated is thoroughly cleansed and degreased. After the specified application time, the exfoliating agent is prepared and applied evenly. The application time varies depending on the type and intensity of the exfoliation. During this time, you will feel a slight tingling or warming sensation – this is normal and indicates that the exfoliation is working.
3. Neutralisation & aftercare
After the application time, the active ingredient is stopped and washed off with water or a special neutraliser. A soothing, moisturising care product with SPF is then applied to support the skin barrier regeneration process.
4. Detailed aftercare instructions
You will receive precise instructions for home care: gentle cleansing, intensive moisturising, consistent sun protection (SPF 50+). Depending on the intensity, you may experience a feeling of tightness, temporary redness or slight peeling. Important: Care for your skin exactly as recommended and protect it from the sun.
5. Results & series
Your skin will look fresher and more regenerated after just 7-10 days. For optimal results, we recommend a series of 3-6 treatments at intervals of 2-4 weeks.
