Ultherapy PRIME® is a non-invasive ultrasound treatment that tightens and improves the skin. Microfocused ultrasound, meaning concentrated sound energy, is delivered precisely to deeper skin layers, where it stimulates the body’s own production of collagen and elastin. Over time, this can help the skin appear firmer, smoother and more defined.
Integrated real-time imaging shows the skin layers during treatment so that the energy can be adjusted accurately. It is mainly used to tighten the face, neck and under-chin area and to improve the décolleté. During the consultation, we look at your skin condition and elasticity to decide which areas are suitable for you.
Treatment Areas
Treatment is adjusted to the skin condition, skin laxity and the result you would like in each area.
Face
On the forehead, cheeks and chin, Ultherapy PRIME® can tighten the skin. This can make the contours look more defined and the skin smoother.
Chin and Neck
Around the chin and neck, the treatment is used for mild skin laxity and the appearance of a double chin to improve skin firmness.
Décolleté
On the décolleté, fine lines and wrinkles can be softened, helping the skin look smoother and firmer.
Individual Facial Areas
Individual areas can also be treated on their own: the brow area, the area around the mouth or the upper and lower half of the face. We decide together which combination makes sense.
How does Ultherapy PRIME® work?
Ultherapy PRIME® uses microfocused ultrasound with integrated real-time visualisation. Before and during treatment, the skin and underlying tissue are shown on screen, so the energy can be matched to your individual anatomy and the intended tissue layer. Depending on the transducer, the handpiece that emits the ultrasound, it works at defined depths of 1.5, 3.0 or 4.5 mm.
The focused energy creates controlled heat within the targeted tissue. This produces tiny, precisely heated points in the tissue, while the skin surface and surrounding tissue remain largely unaffected.
This thermal effect activates the skin’s natural repair response and supports the formation and restructuring of collagen and elastin. Tightening therefore develops over several weeks and months, during which the skin can gradually become firmer and tighter.

What does the treatment involve?

We begin by discussing your goals and assessing your skin condition, elasticity and the areas to be treated. Together, we agree on your treatment plan.
Preparation
The skin is cleansed and prepared for treatment. The parameters are then set to match the targeted skin and tissue layers.
Ultrasound Treatment
The device is applied to the skin layers identified beforehand, with the live image supporting accurate placement of the energy. Depending on the area treated, a session lasts between 30 and 90 minutes.
Aftercare
Temporary warmth, redness, tenderness or mild swelling may occur. You can generally return to your normal activities afterwards.
Gradual Tightening
As new collagen forms and restructures over the following weeks and months, the skin can progressively gain firmness.

How does the treatment work and how long does it take?
Once your goals have been discussed, the skin is cleansed and the parameters are set for the targeted tissue layers. The ultrasound is then delivered precisely with the help of live imaging. Depending on the area treated, a session lasts between 30 and 90 minutes.
Is the treatment painful, and is anaesthesia used?
You may feel warmth or occasional more intense pulses during treatment. How strongly you notice them varies from person to person. Anaesthesia can be used depending on your sensitivity, and we discuss before your appointment whether this makes sense for you.
What risks and side effects are possible?
Warmth, redness, tenderness or mild swelling may occur temporarily after the treatment. These reactions are usually mild and settle by themselves. Any further possible risks and your suitability are discussed in detail during the medical consultation before treatment.
What should I consider before the treatment?
The first step is a consultation in which we assess your skin and the areas you would like treated. Before your appointment, you receive clear instructions on preparation and on medication. Anything else that applies in your case is discussed with you personally beforehand.
What should I consider after the treatment?
You can usually return to your normal activities straight after the session. Any temporary skin reactions settle by themselves. After your appointment, you receive guidance for the following days and know whom to contact if you have questions.
How long does recovery take after the treatment?
As Ultherapy PRIME® is non-invasive, downtime is usually not required. Mild reactions such as redness or tenderness are temporary. In most cases, you can carry on with your day immediately after the treatment.

Prices depend on the area: the brow costs CHF 500, the full face CHF 3’250 and the combination of face, neck and décolleté CHF 5’400. Prices for other zones are available on request. Treatment is usually paid for privately.
