What is MCT exosome treatment?

MCT Exosomes (MetaCell Therapy) is a medical procedure in which the body's own exosomes are activated using the patented MCT system and prepared for injection.

Exosomes are micro­scopic extra­cel­lular vesicles (30–150 nm) that act as central messengers in cell commu­ni­cation. They transport growth factors, microRNAs, proteins and lipids and play a crucial role in regene­ration, inflammation regulation and tissue renewal.

The MCT system uses patented photo­thermal biomo­du­lation to speci­fi­cally stimulate the release of these exosomes already present in the body. The PRP (platelet-rich plasma) extracted from your blood is treated with specific light and controlled tempe­rature, maximising exosome release and incre­asing cell activity.

What is the treatment procedure?

Initial consul­tation: During a detailed consul­tation, Dr Mazzei will analyse your skin, discuss your wishes and explain what results can reali­sti­cally be expected.

Step 1 – Blood collection: A small amount of blood is taken (similar to a normal blood test). PRP (platelet-rich plasma) is extracted from this blood.

Step 2 – Photo­thermal activation: The PRP is placed in the MCT Kit and stimu­lated in the MCT Unit® with specific light and controlled tempe­rature. This maximises the release of exosomes, increases cell activity and inten­sifies the regene­rative effect.

Step 3 – Injection: The activated MCT exosomes are then injected precisely into the desired region to ensure maximum effectiveness.

Aftercare: After the treatment, slight redness or swelling may occur, but this will subside quickly. Avoid intense sun exposure, saunas and sports for 48 hours. Make-up can usually be applied after 24 hours.

The treatment is well tolerated and most patients find it to be virtually painless. The injec­tions are admini­stered using fine needles. An anaes­thetic cream can be applied beforehand on request. The blood sample is taken in a similar way to a normal blood test.

As only the body's own material is used, side effects are rare and usually mild. Possible side effects include slight redness, swelling at the injection sites and temporary sensi­tivity to pressure. These reactions usually subside within a few days. Allergic reactions or rejection reactions are virtually impos­sible with autologous treatments.
