EMSculpt Neo® is a non-invasive treatment designed to strengthen muscles and reduce fat tissue. It works with no needles and no surgery. The device combines high-intensity electromagnetic energy (HIFEM+) with synchronised radiofrequency (RF). HIFEM+ triggers intense muscle contractions, while the radiofrequency warms the tissue in a controlled way.
We use EMSculpt Neo® when you would like more definition and muscle tone or a reduction in localised fat deposits. Treated areas include the abdomen, flanks, buttocks, thighs and arms. A separate treatment protocol is also available for chronic pain. Suitability, the treatment plan and possible changes are assessed during the consultation.

Abdomen and Core
EMSculpt Neo® intensively stimulates the abdominal muscles and supports their development. At the same time, it can reduce fat and help firm the skin and contribute to a more defined core.
Buttocks
The gluteal muscles are strengthened, and fat can be reduced as well. This can make the buttocks look firmer, more shaped and lifted.
Thighs
On the inner, front, back and outer thighs, the muscles are strengthened and fat can be reduced. This may be considered for soft skin on the inner thighs or fat deposits on the outer thighs.
Upper Arms
The biceps and triceps are strengthened in a targeted way, which can make the upper arms look firmer and more defined, including at the back.
Calves, Back and Flanks
The calves can also be strengthened, while the back and flanks can be shaped more clearly. In this way, the treatment can contribute to a more balanced body contour.
How does EMSculpt Neo® work?
As a non-invasive body contouring technology, EMSculpt Neo® addresses muscle and fat tissue in the same treatment. To do this, the device uses two forms of energy: high-intensity focused electromagnetic energy (HIFEM+) and synchronised radiofrequency (RF).
HIFEM+ penetrates deep into the muscles and triggers supramaximal contractions, meaning particularly intense muscle contractions. Up to 20,000 of these contractions can be generated in one treatment. They stimulate the muscles directly and can support the development and definition of the treated muscles.
Alongside this, the radiofrequency provides controlled heating to around 42–43 °C. This heat can promote lipolysis, the breakdown of fat, and support collagen production, which can contribute to firmer skin. EMSculpt Neo® can also be combined with other treatments, and we plan any combination on an individual basis.

What does the treatment involve?
Consultation
We begin by assessing your body contour, the areas to be treated and your goals, and agree together how many sessions make sense. You can eat and drink normally beforehand, as special preparation is not required.
Applicator Placement
You lie comfortably on the treatment bed while the applicators are positioned precisely on the chosen area. Different applicators are available for different body regions: the abdomen, buttocks, thighs or arms.
Treatment
First, the radiofrequency warms the tissue in a controlled way to around 42–43 °C. HIFEM+ then triggers up to 20,000 intense contractions in varying patterns, followed by a short cool-down phase with gentler contractions. A session takes 30–45 minutes for each area.
After the Treatment
You can get up straight away and return to your usual activities. Depending on the intensity, your muscles may feel as they do after an intensive workout for the following 24–48 hours.
Treatment Course
A course of 4–8 sessions is often planned, depending on the area and what you want to achieve. First changes may become visible after the initial sessions, and the full effect usually shows after around 2–3 months.

HIFEM+ and Contractions
The electromagnetic pulses trigger supramaximal contractions that go beyond 100 % of voluntary contraction strength. The manufacturer compares one session with around 20,000 sit-ups, squats or biceps curls.
Study Data
The manufacturer’s clinical studies report up to 30 % more muscle mass and up to 25 % less fat in the treated area. For rectus diastasis, the gap between the straight abdominal muscles, an average reduction of 19 % is reported.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the treatment work and how long does it take?
After the consultation, you lie on a treatment bed and the applicators are placed on the selected area. Radiofrequency energy first heats the tissue, then HIFEM+ makes the muscles contract strongly, and a cool-down phase completes the session. Please allow 30–45 minutes per area.
Is the treatment painful, and is anaesthesia used?
During the treatment, you feel strong, pulsating muscle contractions and a sensation of warmth. The feeling is unfamiliar but generally well tolerated, and the intensity is adjusted to you. Anaesthesia is usually not required for this treatment.
What risks and side effects are possible?
Muscle soreness in the treated areas is common. Less often, mild redness, a feeling of warmth or tightness, or temporary tenderness may occur. These symptoms generally subside within hours to 1–2 days. We will clarify with you beforehand which risks are relevant in your case.
What should I consider before the treatment?
There is no need for special preparation, so you can eat and drink as usual before the treatment. Please let us know about electronic implants, metal implants in the treatment area, a possible pregnancy or acute inflammation. We check these points carefully during the consultation.
What should I consider after the treatment?
You do not need a rest period and can be active again straight away. It is also important to drink enough water. You can continue your usual training during the course; EMSculpt Neo® complements it but does not replace it.
How long does recovery take after the treatment?
Recovery time is usually not needed, and you can continue with your day straight away. Depending on how intense the session was, your muscles may feel similar to after a demanding training session for the following 24–48 hours.

When do results become visible?
First changes may become visible after the initial sessions. The effect continues to develop over the following weeks and usually reaches its full extent after around 2–3 months. The scales may show little difference, because muscle tissue is denser than fat tissue, but your contour can look visibly more defined.
How long do the results last?
The changes can last from several months up to a year. Exactly how long also depends on your lifestyle, diet and exercise. Maintenance treatments every 6–12 months can help stabilise the result, and we will discuss together whether they make sense for you.
How many sessions are usually needed?
The treatment often involves a course of 4–8 sessions. How many sessions you need depends on your goals, your starting point and the area being treated; the interval between appointments follows the protocol chosen for you. We draw up the exact plan with you at the consultation.
Who is the treatment suitable for?
EMSculpt Neo® may be suitable if you would like more definition, firmer muscle tone or less localised fat. It is not suitable with electronic implants such as a pacemaker, with metal implants in the treatment area, during pregnancy or with acute inflammation. After pregnancy, your body should have fully recovered, and please consult us if you are breastfeeding. Your individual risks and suitability are discussed in detail during the medical consultation before treatment.
How much does the treatment cost?
One session for a single area, such as the abdomen, buttocks or thighs, costs CHF 450. Packages are also available: four treatments for CHF 1’600 and eight treatments for CHF 2’800. As an aesthetic treatment, EMSculpt Neo® is usually paid for privately, and we confirm the exact cost after the consultation.
