Treatment with enCurve® is a non-invasive method for the targeted reduction of stubborn fat and the improvement of body contour. Controlled radiofrequency energy heats the fat tissue while the applicator stays clear of the skin. The heat supports the body’s natural breakdown of fat cells.
The method is suitable for localised fat deposits on the abdomen, flanks, thighs, buttocks or upper arms. During the consultation, we clarify whether enCurve® is right for you, which areas to treat and what scope is realistic.

Before treatment starts, we discuss which body areas are suitable in your case.
Abdomen and Waist
On the abdomen, the treatment targets stubborn fat, including after pregnancy. The aim is a slimmer waistline; reductions in circumference of up to 14 cm are possible.
Flanks and Hips
On the flanks and hips, enCurve® can reduce fat deposits. This can help the waist appear more clearly shaped.
Thighs
The treatment can be used on the outer thighs, often called saddlebags, and on the inner thighs. This can give the legs a smoother outline.
Buttocks and Back
Fat deposits on the buttocks and back can also be treated with enCurve®. As a result, the body contour can look more defined from behind.
Upper Arms and Calves
On the upper arms and calves, the treatment can reduce localised fat and contribute to a more balanced body contour.
Knee Area
Fat deposits above the knees can be reduced, which can make the line of the legs appear more even.
How does enCurve® work?
The treatment is based on focused radiofrequency energy at a frequency of 27.12 MHz. The applicator is positioned above the area to be treated without skin contact, and no needles are used. This also makes it possible to treat larger areas of the body.
Fat tissue has different electrical properties from the surrounding tissue, so the energy can be directed specifically at the fat layer. The system continuously measures impedance, the electrical resistance of the tissue, and automatically adjusts the energy output. In this way, the fat cells are heated in a controlled manner to around 42–45 °C.
The controlled heating leads to the natural death of the fat cells, known as apoptosis: the fat cells are completely destroyed and then broken down through the body’s own metabolic processes. This is why the treated area changes over the following weeks. At the same time, the heat stimulates the formation of collagen and elastin, which additionally tightens the skin.

What does the treatment involve?
Consultation
We begin by assessing your body contour, the areas you would like to treat and your goals. Together, we decide which zones to treat and discuss the expected course of treatment.
Preparation
Before the session, jewellery, piercings and other metal objects are removed, including underwire bras. Please do not apply body lotion on the day of treatment.
Treatment
The appropriate applicator is positioned above the area without touching the skin, and the system adjusts the energy output continuously. Depending on the area, the session takes about 45–60 minutes, during which you can relax.
After the Session
You can return to your usual activities straight afterwards. Depending on your individual response, the treated area may feel warm or slightly sensitive for a while.
Further Sessions
Changes develop gradually over the following weeks, and a series of several sessions is usually advisable. The number of sessions and the intervals between them depend on your starting point and goal.

How does the treatment work and how long does it take?
Before you start, jewellery and other metal objects are removed. The applicator is then positioned above the area without making contact with the skin and heats the fat tissue in a controlled way. Depending on the area, a session takes about 45–60 minutes.
Is the treatment painful, and is anaesthesia used?
We do our best to make the treatment as comfortable as possible; pain perception varies from person to person. Anaesthesia is not required. The applicator remains at a distance from the body, and no needles are used. You can relax throughout the session.
What risks and side effects are possible?
After treatment, the treated area may feel warm or slightly sensitive for a while. Individual reactions may vary. Before treatment begins, we discuss in detail any risks relevant to your personal situation.
What should I consider before the treatment?
On the day of treatment, do not apply body lotion, and remove jewellery, piercings, underwire bras and other metal items near the treatment area; electronic devices are put aside during the session. A low-carbohydrate, low-salt, high-protein diet and plenty of water (2–3 litres) are recommended. You will receive any further instructions, including on medication, before your appointment.
What should I consider after the treatment?
Exercise is possible again on the same day. The treated zone may feel warm or slightly sensitive for some time. Drinking enough fluids supports the natural removal process. If you notice anything unusual, please get in touch with us.
How long does recovery take after the treatment?
As a rule, enCurve® does not involve any particular downtime. You can continue with your day immediately after the session. How your body responds to the treatment can vary from person to person.

When do results become visible?
Changes develop gradually because the body breaks down the treated fat cells over several weeks. First changes appear after around 2–3 weeks, and the final result within up to 8 weeks after the series is complete. On average, a reduction of 2–4 cm per treatment cycle is possible, and 11–14 cm on the abdomen with an adapted diet; the result also depends on your lifestyle.
How long do the results last?
Because the treated fat cells are destroyed and broken down by the body, the result is long-lasting with a stable weight. How long it lasts also depends on your lifestyle. We are happy to discuss what you can do yourself to support it.
How many sessions are usually needed?
The number of sessions is determined by your specialist based on your goals. At least 4–6 treatments once a week are planned. If a greater reduction in circumference is desired, up to 8 sessions may be advisable.
Who is the treatment suitable for?
enCurve® may be an option if you would like to reduce stubborn, localised fat deposits and improve your body contour. The treatment is suitable for all skin types and can also be used with a BMI above 30. It is not used during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or with pacemakers or other electronic implants, metal implants, a copper IUD for abdominal treatment, active cancer or severe cardiovascular disease. We discuss suitability and the right body areas with you beforehand.
How much does the treatment cost?
Prices are listed by treatment area: the abdomen, flanks, outer thighs, inner thighs and knees cost CHF 300 each, and a package of 6 sessions costs CHF 1’200. Prices for other areas are available on request. As an aesthetic treatment, enCurve® is usually paid for privately; we give you the cost of your complete treatment plan after the consultation.
