Nanofat facial rejuvenation is a regenerative procedure designed to improve skin quality. A small amount of your own fat tissue is harvested, finely processed and then introduced into the skin in a targeted way. The procedure is intended to support the skin’s natural regenerative processes and can help refine skin texture and improve elasticity.
Nanofat is mainly used for fine lines, tired-looking skin and early signs of ageing. At the consultation, we assess your skin quality and circumstances and discuss which areas could be treated. We also explain which changes are possible and what risks the procedure involves. The aim is a fresher-looking complexion in which your facial features remain natural. Nanofat can also be combined with a facelift.
Surgical Procedure
This treatment is a surgical procedure performed under medical direction. Procedure, anaesthesia and aftercare are discussed in detail during your personal consultation.

Treatment Areas
The suitable areas are determined separately for each person.
Eye Area
Around the eyes, nanofat is mainly used for fine lines and dark circles to help the delicate skin in this area look more refined.
Cheeks
On the cheeks, nanofat is used to help refine skin texture and improve skin elasticity in this area.
Neck and Décolleté
On the neck and décolleté, nanofat is used to improve skin quality. This can leave the skin looking fresher and smoother.
Hands
On the hands, nanofat can help enhance the quality of the skin and give it a fresher appearance.
Scars and Pigmentation
Nanofat may help refine the appearance of superficial scars or pigmentation. This application is carefully considered on a case-by-case basis.
Mouth Area and Expression Lines
Fine lines around the mouth, known as perioral lines, and fine expression lines are also among the areas of application. Nanofat can help to reduce these fine lines.
What is nanofat?
Nanofat is autologous fat, meaning fat tissue taken from your own body, which is very finely processed for use in the skin. For this purpose, fat is removed from the body and then extensively filtered and emulsified to isolate regenerative cellular components.
Using fine cannulas, the prepared nanofat is then introduced superficially into the skin. There, stem cells and growth factors from your own fat stimulate natural cell renewal and promote microcirculation, the blood flow in the skin’s smallest blood vessels.
The focus here is on the quality of the skin. Nanofat can reduce fine lines, improve texture, hydration and elasticity, and support the body’s own collagen production. This effect builds up gradually over a period of 3–6 months.

Why nanofat facial rejuvenation at Aesthetics Medical?
Your Own Tissue
Nanofat treatment works exclusively with fat from your own body. This places the focus on your skin’s natural regenerative processes.
Delicate Areas
Nanofat is particularly suitable for delicate areas, including the eye area and the neck. There, it can improve skin texture, hydration and elasticity.
Gentle Application
When the nanofat is introduced, we pay attention to even distribution within the intended skin layers and gentle handling of the tissue.
Medical Direction
Medical direction lies with Dr. med. (I) Ranieri Mazzei, FMH specialist in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. He has over 25 years of experience in aesthetic surgery.
Consultation on Utoquai
Your first appointment takes place in a separate consultation room on Utoquai. You then decide about the procedure in your own time and with no obligation.
Natural Appearance
Our aim is a naturally fresh-looking complexion that preserves your facial features. The dosage and approach are therefore planned with deliberate restraint.

What does the procedure involve?
Consultation
The process begins with a detailed consultation and skin analysis. Together, we agree on the treatment areas and approach and talk through the possible risks of the procedure.
Preparation
Before the planned procedure, you receive clear instructions on medication and sun exposure.
Fat Harvesting
On the day of the procedure, a small amount of your own fat tissue is harvested from the abdomen, thighs or another suitable area.
Processing
The harvested tissue is then prepared for the procedure through filtration and emulsification.
Injection
The prepared nanofat is injected into the previously defined areas using fine cannulas.
Aftercare
After the injection, the treated areas are cooled and cared for. We then go through the further aftercare with you.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the procedure work and how long does it take?
First, a small amount of autologous fat is harvested from the abdomen, thighs or another suitable area and finely processed. The nanofat is then injected into the skin layers being treated using fine cannulas. The entire procedure takes 1–2 hours.
What type of anaesthesia is used for the procedure?
The procedure, covering both fat harvesting and injection of the nanofat, is carried out under local anaesthesia with sedation. We explain in advance how to prepare.
What risks and side effects are possible?
Mild swelling, bruising or a feeling of tightness are possible and usually subside within a few days. Possible surgical risks, as well as questions about safety and tolerability, are assessed individually and discussed in detail at the consultation.
What should I consider before the procedure?
Before the procedure, we carry out a detailed skin analysis and agree on the treatment areas and approach with you. To help you prepare, you are given clear guidance on any medication you take and on sun exposure.
What should I consider after the procedure?
Immediately afterwards, the treated areas are cooled and cared for. You then receive guidance on aftercare and on what to observe over the following days, and you know whom to contact with any questions. A follow-up appointment is arranged wherever it is useful.
How long does recovery take after the procedure?
Any swelling, bruising or feeling of tightness generally settles within a few days. You should allow 5–7 days for recovery, including at the donor site. We discuss with you before the procedure when you can return to work.

When do results become visible?
The effect of nanofat develops gradually over 3–6 months. During this time, the skin can appear more refined and firmer, fine lines can be reduced and dark circles lightened. We will clarify with you beforehand which changes are realistic for your skin.
How long do the results last?
The effect of nanofat is long-lasting. With good care, the results can remain visible for many months or even years. We will explain how long the changes are likely to last for you when we first meet.
Is more than one procedure needed?
As a rule, one procedure is planned, and its effect then builds up over several months. We decide on the details of your treatment plan after the skin analysis.
Who is the procedure suitable for?
The procedure may be considered for people with fine lines, tired-looking skin, early signs of ageing or pigmentation. It is particularly worth considering if you wish to support your skin in regenerating naturally. We look at your suitability and the right treatment areas together before you make a decision.
How much does the procedure cost?
Prices for nanofat treatment are available on request, and we will give you the exact costs after your initial consultation. Aesthetic procedures are usually self-funded; in medically justified cases, the options are considered case by case.
