What is eCO2™?

eCO2™ is a state-of-the-art fractional CO2 laser that combines the benefits of superficial skin renewal with deep collagen stimulation. The revolutionary Controlled Chaos Technology (CCT™) enables randomised energy delivery, ensuring maximum safety with minimal downtime.

The dual action principle of eCO2™:

  1. Superficial effect: The laser removes the top layer of skin in a controlled manner, similar to a deep peel, but without chemical agents. This leads to immediate improvement in pigmentation, skin texture and superficial irregularities.
  2. Deep effect: At the same time, the laser energy penetrates the dermis and stimulates collagen and elastin production. This leads to long-term skin tightening and rejuvenation.

The patented CCT™ technology prevents the grid-like treatment pattern typical of other CO2 lasers and enables more natural healing with reduced downtime.

The treatment can be individually tailored with different attachments and spot sizes:

  • Small: For scars, deep wrinkles and targeted tightening
  • Medium: For large pores, skin texture and radiant skin
  • Large: For skin tone, overall texture and comprehensive skin renewal

What is the treatment procedure?

Treatment with eCO2™ is precise and effective:

1. Consultation

During a detailed consultation, we analyse your skin, discuss your goals and create a personalised treatment plan. We explain all aspects of the treatment to you.

2. Preparation

The area of skin to be treated is thoroughly cleansed and an anaesthetic ointment is applied to make the treatment as comfortable as possible.

3. Treatment

A special handpiece is used to deliver the micro laser beam in a targeted manner and at short intervals. At the same time, cold air is supplied to control heat build-up and increase comfort. The treatment takes about an hour, depending on the area.

4. Aftercare

A cooling mask is then applied, followed by special care. If necessary, we use LED light therapy to shorten the healing phase.

After the treatment, the skin is reddened and may be slightly swollen – this is normal and part of the healing process. These symptoms usually subside after a few hours.

Frequently asked questions

The eCO2™ treatment is particularly suitable for people with:

  • Deep wrinkles and furrows
  • Severe scarring (acne, surgical, burn or injury scars)
  • Pigmentation disorders and age spots
  • Stretch marks
  • Large pores and uneven skin texture
  • Sagging and dull skin
  • Desire for an effective method without needles or chemical agents

Optimal results are achieved when:

  • The skin is not tanned (4 weeks before to 6 weeks after treatment)
  • There are no active skin conditions
  • Expectations are realistic
  • You are willing to follow the aftercare recommendations
  • Sufficient time is allowed for the healing phase

The treatment is not suitable for:

  • Skin rashes, skin conditions (herpes, eczema, neurodermatitis)
  • Allergies or hypersensitivity
  • Inflammatory acne
  • Taking certain medications (e.g. Roaccutan, photosensitising medications)
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Severe tanning of the skin
  • Unrealistic expectations

No, treatment is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding. We recommend waiting at least 3 months after breastfeeding.

Yes, eCO2™ laser treatment is one of the most effective methods for treating stretch marks. After several sessions, even stubborn stretch marks are significantly reduced and in some cases barely visible. The treatment stimulates collagen production and improves the skin structure in the long term.

Thanks to the anaesthetic ointment and the simultaneous supply of cold air, the treatment is well tolerated. During the treatment, you will feel a controlled heat build-up. Immediately after the treatment, the skin feels like it does after sunburn and may be reddened and slightly swollen. This subsides after a few hours.

Normal reactions include:

  • Redness and slight swelling (subsides after a few hours)
  • Crusting in the following days (part of the healing process)
  • Slight itching and tightness during regeneration
  • Temporary sensitivity to sunlight

Rare side effects may include:

  • Pigment changes (usually disappear on their own)
  • Cold sores in those with a predisposition (prophylaxis possible)

The healing process is as follows:

  • Day 1: Redness and possible swelling subside after 1-24 hours
  • Days 2-3: Crusting begins
  • Days 5-10: Crusts fall off, new skin appears
  • Complete healing: Maximum 5-10 days

For more intensive treatments or facials, we recommend that you do not schedule any important appointments until after the 5th day.

For optimal regeneration, we recommend resuming sporting activities no earlier than 4 days after treatment. This prevents excessive sweating and friction during the critical healing phase.

The treated skin is particularly sensitive for 5-7 days. It remains sensitive to the sun for several weeks afterwards. We recommend:

  • Rich moisturiser
  • Daily sun protection (SPF 50+)
  • Avoiding direct sunlight
  • No additional skin products on the day of treatment

The results develop in phases:

  • Immediately: Glow effect directly after treatment
  • 5–10 days: Skin recovers, scabs fall off, new skin appears
  • 2–4 weeks: Skin becomes firmer, finer-pored, gains elasticity
  • 4–8 weeks: Continuous improvement through collagen build-up

Pigment changes, scars and age spots are often significantly reduced or disappear after just one treatment.

The results vary in terms of how long they last, depending on the treatment goal:

  • Scar treatment: Long-term improvement in skin structure
  • Pigmentation spots: Can be permanently removed
  • Wrinkles and skin ageing: How long the results last depends on lifestyle, skin condition and tissue firmness

For preventive anti-ageing effects, we recommend an annual refresher treatment.

The number of treatments depends on the treatment goal:

  • Mild skin problems: Visible improvement often after just one treatment
  • Standard treatment: 3–4 sessions at intervals of 4–8 weeks
  • Severe scarring/deep wrinkles: Additional treatments may be necessary
  • Preventive treatment: Once a year to slow down the ageing process

Depending on the treatment area, the procedure takes approximately one hour. Smaller areas can be treated in a correspondingly shorter time.

Controlled Chaos Technology (CCT™): This patented technology enables randomised energy delivery, which allows the tissue between laser pulses to cool optimally. Studies show that this increases safety by 40% and reduces healing time by 30%.

Fractional mode of action: The CO2 laser creates microscopic treatment zones (10-20% of the skin surface), while 80-90% of the skin remains intact. This allows for rapid healing from the untreated areas.

Collagen stimulation: Controlled thermal injury activates fibroblasts and stimulates the synthesis of new type I and III collagen, resulting in measurable skin tightening.

eCO2™ stands out from other treatment methods thanks to several unique features:

Compared to conventional lasers:

  • Drastic improvements even with deep wrinkles, scars and severe pigmentation disorders
  • Controlled Chaos Technology for increased safety and shorter healing times
  • No grid-like treatment pattern

Compared to chemical peels:

  • Increased precision in treatment demarcation
  • Better control over treatment depth
  • Longer-lasting results due to deeper effect
  • Similarly good results in just one session

Compared to RF microneedling (GENIUS, Secret RF):

  • Additional ablative effect on the skin surface
  • More effective treatment of pigmentation disorders
  • No needles, but targeted heat delivery
  • Stronger skin renewal in one session

Compared to surgical facelifts:

  • Minimally invasive and gentle
  • Significantly shorter healing time
  • Lower risk of complications
  • No general anaesthesia required

Further advantages:

  • No to minimal downtime
  • No needles required
  • Good tolerability with gentle skin treatment
  • Versatile application possibilities
