Vitamin and nutrient infusions deliver vitamins, minerals, amino acids and other nutrients intravenously, that is, through a vein. This allows the ingredients to enter the bloodstream directly. The solution is given slowly and in a controlled way, and an infusion usually takes 30–60 minutes.

Depending on the formula, the composition focuses on different concerns: on skin, hair and nails or on recovery after physical exertion. It can be adjusted and, where appropriate, matched to up-to-date laboratory results. Before treatment, we assess from a medical perspective whether an infusion is suitable for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the treatment work and how long does it take?

After the medical history discussion and a brief medical assessment, a sterile venous access is placed with a fine needle. The nutrient solution is then given slowly, which takes around 30–60 minutes. You are observed for a short time at the end.

Is the treatment painful, and is anaesthesia used?

A fine needle is used for the venous access, usually in the arm. Mild pressure or tenderness may be felt temporarily at the needle site during the infusion. Anything else about the preparation and the process is discussed with you before the first infusion.

What risks and side effects are possible?

When administered correctly, vitamin infusions are generally well tolerated. Mild pressure at the needle site may occur, and occasionally a metallic taste with high-dose vitamin C. If the infusion runs too quickly, temporary nausea, headache or discomfort may occur, and the rate is then adjusted. Serious side effects are rare.

What should I consider before the treatment?

Please arrive well hydrated, having eaten, and wear comfortable clothing. Please bring your current list of medication and any laboratory results. Tell us about supplements and relevant medical conditions and avoid alcohol on the day of treatment where possible. For an Individual Formula, certain vitamin supplements may need to be paused beforehand, as agreed with us.

What should I consider after the treatment?

After the infusion, drink enough fluids and avoid alcohol for the rest of the day. Keep the needle site dry for about 24 hours. If you feel unwell or notice any unusual symptoms, please contact us.

How long does recovery take after the treatment?

Downtime is not usually needed after an infusion. After the short observation period, you can continue your day as planned. Allow a little more time for the appointment than the infusion itself takes, as preparation and observation are added to it.

When do results become visible?

How quickly an effect can be felt depends on the formulation, your starting point and the treatment goal. Some effects may be noticed during or shortly after the infusion, while others develop over several treatments. We discuss beforehand what you can expect in your case.

How long do the results last?

How long an effect lasts depends on the composition of the infusion and on your individual response. A single time frame therefore cannot be given. We discuss how your treatment is planned and when a further infusion makes sense before the first appointment.

How many sessions are usually needed?

How often infusions make sense depends on your goal, your starting point and the chosen composition. We draw up your treatment plan and, where appropriate, adjust it based on laboratory values. The details are discussed during the consultation.

Who is the treatment suitable for?

Before treatment, a medical assessment determines whether a vitamin or nutrient infusion is suitable for you. We take into account your health status, relevant medical conditions and medications and, where appropriate, current laboratory values. We clarify what this means for you in a personal conversation.

How much does the treatment cost?

The formulas offered each cost CHF 350–400. After the consultation, you will know which composition is suitable for you and what this means for the cost of your treatment plan.
