MCT Exo-Tech is the world's first injec­table exosome bioim­plant technology. It combines the body's own (autologous) exosomes with a biocom­pa­tible protein scaffold matrix, enabling long-lasting, targeted and struc­tured regeneration.

While classic exosome treat­ments primarily stimulate cell commu­ni­cation, MCT Exo-Tech goes one crucial step further: the exosomes are struc­tu­rally embedded, held locally and released in a controlled manner over a longer period of time. The protein matrix acts as a biolo­gical carrier material, providing struc­tural support in the tissue and protecting the exosomes from premature degradation.

What is the treatment procedure?

Initial consul­tation: During a detailed consul­tation, Dr Mazzei will analyse your skin condition, discuss your wishes and explain what results can reali­sti­cally be expected.

Step 1 (blood collection): A small amount of blood is taken and processed in a centrifuge to obtain PRP (platelet-rich plasma).

Step 2 (photo­thermal activation): The PRP is treated with the MCT system. Targeted light and heat stimuli activate the blood platelets and release a high concen­tration of autologous exosomes.

Step 3 (scaffold formation): Exo-Tech technology is used to form a biocom­pa­tible protein matrix (scaffold) from the plasma, which serves as a biolo­gical scaffold for the exosomes.

Step 4 (injection): The activated exosomes are integrated into the scaffold structure and injected precisely into the target tissue. There they remain locally and exert their effect over an extended period of time.

Aftercare: After the treatment, slight swelling or redness may occur, which will subside within a few days. It is recom­mended to take care of the treated area, use sun protection and refrain from using the sauna or exercising for 48 hours.

MCT Exo-Tech is suitable for patients who want sustainable skin rejuve­nation using the body's own active ingre­dients. Ideal candi­dates have skin ageing with loss of structure, loss of elasticity, deep wrinkles, loss of volume, acne scars or other scars, thin/​fragile skin or sun-damaged skin. The treatment is parti­cu­larly suitable for people who want to avoid synthetic fillers and rely on natural regeneration.

The treatment is well tolerated. An anaes­thetic cream or local anaes­thetic can be applied on request. Most patients find the injection to be virtually painless. After the treatment, a slight feeling of pressure or tension may occur, but this subsides quickly.

As only the body's own material is used, MCT Exo-Tech is very well tolerated. Typical, temporary side effects include slight swelling, redness and sensi­tivity to pressure. These usually subside within a few days. Allergic reactions or rejection reactions are virtually impos­sible with autologous treatments.

MCT Exo-Tech treatment offers long-term results. Initial impro­ve­ments become visible after a few weeks, when the stimu­lated cell processes begin to take effect. The optimal effect unfolds over 2–3 months, during which time the body forms new collagen and elastin and the skin structure regenerates.

The results of MCT Exo-Tech treatment typically last 12–18 months and can last even longer with good care. The duration depends on skin type, age, lifestyle (smoking, sun exposure, diet) and the area treated. A refresher treatment after 6–12 months can prolong the effect.

As a rule, 1–2 sessions are suffi­cient, depending on the individual treatment goal and the initial situation. In cases of prono­unced skin ageing or scar treatment, further sessions may be advisable. Dr Mazzei will draw up an individual treatment plan after your consultation.

MCT Exo-Tech is minimally invasive with a short downtime. Most patients are fully socially active again after 1–2 days. Slight swelling or redness may persist for 2–5 days. Patients are usually able to return to work on the same or following day (office work). Sports should be avoided for 48 hours.

Both treat­ments use the body's own exosomes from your blood, but differ in terms of technology and duration of effect:

MCT Exosomes is the classic method: the activated exosomes are injected directly into the tissue, where they immediately unfold their regene­rative effect. Ideal for skin rejuve­nation, hair loss and general regene­ration. Three sessions at intervals of three weeks are recommended.

MCT Exo-Tech goes one step further: here, the exosomes are embedded in a biocom­pa­tible protein scaffold matrix. This matrix keeps the exosomes locally in the tissue, protects them from premature degra­dation and enables controlled, prolonged release. The result is prolonged bioac­tivity and more sustainable regene­ration with struc­tural support. Usually 1–2 sessions are sufficient.

Yes, MCT Exo-Tech can be combined excel­lently with other aesthetic proce­dures. Common combi­na­tions include micro­needling, laser treat­ments, hyalu­ronic acid fillers (delayed) or mesotherapy. The combi­nation can achieve syner­gistic effects. Dr Mazzei will advise you on the optimal treatment strategy.

After treatment, you should rest the treated area for 48 hours. Avoid saunas, sports and intense heat. Consi­stent sun protection (SPF 50) is recom­mended. Refrain from aggressive skin treat­ments or exfoli­ation for several days. Cooling compresses can relieve swelling if necessary.

MCT Exo-Tech is versatile. On the face: cheeks, eye area, nasolabial folds, perioral area, entire face. Other areas: neck, décolleté, hands, scars (acne scars, surgical scars). The treatment is suitable wherever skin regene­ration with struc­tural support is desired.

Special prepa­ration is usually not necessary. We recommend that you refrain from taking blood-thinning medication (after consul­tation) and alcohol for a few days before the treatment. On the day of the treatment, please arrive with clean skin and no make-up. You will receive detailed prepa­ration instruc­tions after your consultation.
