MCT Exo-Tech Biofiller is an injectable skin rejuvenation treatment that uses active substances from your own blood. Exosomes are obtained from a small blood sample; they are the body’s own signal carriers, which cells use to communicate with each other. A protein framework made from your plasma keeps the exosomes in the treated area and releases them over a longer period.
The treatment supports the formation of collagen and elastin, the fibres that give skin its support, and so improves skin quality over time. How does MCT Exo-Tech Biofiller work?
For MCT Exo-Tech Biofiller, a small amount of blood is first taken from you. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is obtained from it, meaning the part of the blood that is enriched with platelets. A special device, the MCT system, activates this plasma with light and heat. This causes the platelets to release exosomes.
The plasma is also used to form a fine protein framework, known as the protein matrix. The exosomes are embedded in this framework and then injected into the skin. The matrix holds them in place, protects them from breaking down too quickly and releases them slowly over a longer period.
In this way, the treatment helps the skin to form collagen and elastin, and skin structure improves over time. It can be combined with microneedling, laser treatments, mesotherapy or, at a later appointment, hyaluronic acid fillers. We discuss together which combination makes sense for your goals.

What does the treatment involve?
Consultation
In a detailed consultation with Dr. med. (I) Ranieri Mazzei, we discuss your skin, your wishes and the changes you can expect. You then decide in your own time whether to go ahead with the treatment.
Blood Sample
A small amount of blood is taken from a vein in your arm. The blood is processed in a centrifuge to obtain platelet-rich plasma (PRP).
Activation and Matrix
In the MCT system, the PRP is activated with light and heat so that the platelets release exosomes. The plasma is also used to form the protein matrix that holds the exosomes.
Injection
If you wish, a numbing cream or local anaesthesia is used first. The matrix containing the exosomes is then injected precisely into the agreed areas.
Aftercare
Mild swelling or redness usually settles within a few days. Treat the area gently, protect it from the sun and avoid saunas and exercise for 48 hours.

How does the treatment work and how long does it take?
Following the consultation, blood is taken and processed to obtain plasma. Once the plasma has been activated, the released exosomes are embedded in a protein matrix and then injected into the agreed areas. The treatment takes about 50 minutes.
Is the treatment painful, and is anaesthesia used?
The treatment is well tolerated, and most people find the injection only mildly uncomfortable. A numbing cream or local anaesthesia can be used if you wish. Afterwards, a slight feeling of pressure or tightness may occur, which soon fades.
What risks and side effects are possible?
Only material from your own blood is used, and the treatment is generally well tolerated. Temporary mild swelling, redness and tenderness in the treated areas are common and usually settle within a few days. Your individual risks and suitability are discussed in detail with the doctor before the treatment.
What should I consider before the treatment?
Special preparation is usually not necessary. Please avoid alcohol for several days before your appointment, and only pause blood-thinning medication after consulting your doctor. On the day, please arrive with clean skin and no make-up; you will receive detailed instructions after the consultation.
What should I consider after the treatment?
Treat the area gently for 48 hours and avoid saunas, exercise and intense heat during this time. Consistent sun protection with SPF 50 is recommended, and aggressive skin treatments or peels should be avoided for several days. Cooling compresses can ease any swelling if needed.
How long does recovery take after the treatment?
Downtime is usually short: most people are ready for social activities after 1–2 days, although mild swelling or redness may remain visible for 2–5 days. Office work is usually possible on the same or the following day. Please wait 48 hours before exercising.
