How does the protocol work and how long does a session take?
After the consultation it is decided which components are used and in what order. The ultrasound step is carried out zone by zone, followed by the remaining steps. Depending on the area, a session takes around 30 to 90 minutes.
Is the protocol painful, and is anaesthesia used?
During the ultrasound step, warmth and occasional intense pulses are noticeable, and the energy is adapted to how you feel. Anaesthesia can be used for the injection of the biostimulator. Light and cooling are described as comfortable.
What risks and side effects are possible?
Redness, swelling, tenderness and small bruises at injection points are possible. Such reactions usually subside within a few days. Rarer reactions are explained before the protocol starts.
What should I consider before starting the protocol?
Plan the appointments so that no important occasions fall in the days that follow. Blood-thinning preparations are paused as agreed. Tell us about previous treatments in the facial area.
What should I consider after a session?
Avoid sport, sauna and intense sun on the day of treatment and treat the skin gently. Cool briefly if needed. Detailed guidance is given to you straight afterwards.
How long does recovery take after a session?
Recovery time remains short. Daily activities are usually possible straight afterwards, while swelling or tenderness can last a few days.
When do results become visible?
A volume effect is often visible immediately after the biostimulation. Tightening following the ultrasound develops over several weeks to months, and the final Radiesse® result after around two to three months.
How long do the results last?
For Ultherapy PRIME®, a year or longer is described depending on the area, and for Radiesse® up to eighteen months. How long it lasts for you depends on your skin and lifestyle.
How many sessions does the protocol include?
The ultrasound step often calls for one session, while light therapy is planned as a series, often four to six appointments at four-week intervals. We set the plan together.
