PRP stands for “platelet-rich plasma” and refers to a minimally invasive medical treatment that triggers the body’s own process for regeneration of the skin. The growth factors contained in the plasma bring their regenerative powers to the skin and produce a significantly improved and revitalized skin texture. Due to its use of plasma, the treatment is sometimes referred to in the press as “vampire lifting”. However, this procedure has long been used in the medical field. For example, for more than 20 years, it has been used in orthopedics for the treatment of cartilage diseases. In recent years, PRP’s potential has been recognized for its ability to initiate regeneration in the skin and also for stimulation of hair growth.

  • Improvement of dark circles around the eye

  • Stimulation of the hair roots (improvement of hair growth)
PRP can be used to treat hair loss, thin hair and bald spots as long as hair roots are still present. Through PRP therapy, hair can become thicker and stronger. Furthermore, PRP is a sensible treatment to consider after a hair transplant in order to strengthen the freshly transplanted hair.

First, a consultation will take place between you and the aesthetician to provide extensive information about the treatment and to create an individual client profile. Blood is then drawn from the client and then separated in a centrifuge. The result is a platelet-rich plasma that is injected directly under the skin with very thin needles. As a rule, there is no need for local anesthesia, but in exceptional cases, an anaesthetic cream can be applied 30 minutes before treatment.

The treatment is performed by our specialized medical doctor Dr. med. David Cerny.

Please avoid sauna, sports and sunlight on the first day after the treatment. During the week following the treatment, please also avoid thermal laser treatments.

Ideally, this treatment would be performed 3 times at intervals of 4 weeks. After another 6 weeks, as long as the body’s regeneration mechanism lasts, you will feel and see the full result.

After treatment, injection-related reactions such as swelling, redness, pink discoloration and slight pressure sensitivity may occur at the injection sites. These are normal reactions to the treatment and usually disappear by themselves within 24 hours. With treatment of the lower eyelids, the swelling can persist a little longer.

No downtime is expected. You can do your daily activities as usual. Small bruises that occur can be easily covered with make-up.
